Institutional Policies to Combat Organized Crime in the Balkans

03.01.2011

Balkan organized crime is subject to a variety of international studies. Rare, however, are the  initiatives that monitor the institutional mechanisms to fight organized crime in the Balkans. This was one of the reasons why RiskMonitor implements this project. Its main activity consists in the elaboration of a comparative legal analysis of the various institutions to tackle organized criminality in four Balkan countries - Albania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Croatia. The aim is to improve the development of public and institutional policies in the fight against organized crime.

The project is financially supported by the Balkan Trust for Democracy.
