Conference - the EU Collapse and the Consequences for Bulgaria

21.02.2012

RiskMonitor Foundation and the Open Society Institute – Sofia, organize a conference “The Risk of EU Collapse and the Consequences for Bulgaria.” The conference will take place on February 22, 2012 (Wednesday), from 9.00 AM to 17.00 PM in the Yellow Room of Radisson Hotel.

The conference aims to initiate a wide public discussion of critical issues related to the future of the European Union, the risks for Bulgaria and the policies of the Bulgarian governments for mitigating those risks.

Panel participants will discuss key stages of the ongoing crisis of the EU: the crisis of the common currency, the perspectives for the EU as a political body,
the threats for a disintegration of the EU, possible future re-configurations of the Union, redistribution of regions of development and integration, constitutional and legal aspects, etc. These issues will be analyzed in light of the potential risks for Bulgaria.

The conference is organized as part of a project, funded by the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe.
