22.11.2011

On November 25-26, 2011 at Radisson BLU Hotel in Sofia RiskMonitor organize an international conference named “Policy Responses to Organized Crime in the Balkans”. The conference will gather over 40 participants from the Balkan countries, both independent experts, as well as government officials and representatives of institutions responsible for anti-organized crime initiatives. Conference panels will be devoted to the issues of regional cooperation and the mechanisms needed to strengthen the interagency collaboration in the fight against serious crime. Panelists will also address the risks and threats posed by organized crime to the integrity of democratic society, in particular, to the electoral process, as well as major societal risks for Bulgaria and the region, connected with the issues of institutional corruption and criminal networks.
