Undercover Agents - Discussion in the National Assembly

On Tuesday, November 22, 2011 RiskMonitor and the Internal Security and Public Order Committee of the 41st National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria organize a public discussion on the topic “Special Methods in the Fight Against Organized Crime: Undercover Agents.” The public discussion will be held in the National Assembly, “Zapad” Hall and will start at 10.00 am. The discussion will focus on the special methods for fighting organized crime as stipulated in Bulgarian legislation, the law on undercover officers, the difficulties in the implementation of special investigation techniques, and the improvements needed in this field.

Key speakers include Mr. Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr. Anastas Anastasov, Deputy Chairman of the 41st National Assembly.  Key representatives of the Court of Appeal and the Academy of the Ministry of Interior will also take part in the discussion.

The event is organized as part of a project funded by the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe.
